Korvis Empire: A state of emergency & loss.

In March of 1811, the Korvis empire entered a state of emergency due to the invasion and rampage of an unidentified entity. Multiple adventuring parties were killed while attempting to contain, capture or kill the creature and over the next three years many regions were decimated by the on going encounters. In 1812 the creature was finally identified as a Deep Crow then later correctly identified as an Ancient Deep Crow. A massive bird-like creature with insect like features with a intense alien-intelligence. As the death toll continued to climb when facing the Deep Crow, eventually Lin Sang and his adventuring group, The Silver Tongue, were hired to come with a way to kill or contain the creature. In the meantime, Aquila begins to open its borders to the Korvis refugees that'd been displaced by the creatures rampage. But offers no other aid to their empire neighbor, instead putting their efforts into creating a government standardized police force and creating an expansive border force. Unintentionally creating a rift between the refugees and the border towns because having the police element elevated the local taxes. Putting a strain on the already thin finances of the regions.

In September of 1815 the members of Silver Tongue, with assistance of the council of Korvis and the backing of Mei Sang and Levi Duskryl, the group embarked on a mission to contain the Deep Crow. While details have never been publicly shared, the encounter was successful and the members of Silver Tongue were able to defeat the creature. However the event was not without casualties. While Lin Sang and his companion Resh were severely injured, Lin specifically loosing his right arm, their companion Gabrile Wynter died during the encounter. In a later interview with Lin Sang, he revealed that with the loss of his arm and birth of his and Mei's twin children, he intended to retire from adventuring and declined sharing details on the events that'd transpired that day. Quote Lin Sang,

"My wife has made an appointment for me in Lagowick in a few months to discuss a prosthesis with Aluana Shobi. Afterwards, I simply want to take care of my children."

In the weeks and months following the empire began its recovery process. In October of 1815 in the days approaching the Korvis Ghost Festival, Mei and Lin Sang announced both the erection of a statue in the emperors city dedicated to the Silver Tongue members and the councils intent to being cracking down on the black market trade and trafficking of individuals in honor of Gabrile Wynter. Calling it the Knights of Wynter, Mei Sang detailed her plan to design a section of police force to investigate suspected crimes and disappearances relating to the black market trade, but also her projects in developing criminal sciences and identifying technology that could be used to confirm involvement in crimes. Sharing that the development of these systems and magic had already begun.

Elran Shobi returns to Lagowick

After over ten years missing, in August of 1816 Elaran Shobi was discovered on the trail between Lagowick and the water spring. The man was unharmed. But for him only a few hours had passed rather then the ten years for the rest of Lagowick.

In the fall of 1817, Aluana Shobi left Lagowick for the first time in many years to attend the Advancement Exposition which was being held in Calstien (capital) of Aquila. During this exposition she presented what she predicted to become Lagowick's largest export in the future. Dubbed Wick Glass, Aluana Shobi claimed that the material when light shone through it was able to repel Feywild creatures within a certain range and could protect individuals from being spirited away.

Along with the Wick Glass, in the same show Aluana Shobi also introduced her automaton seemingly unintentionally to the wider world. Dumbed the Lagowick Demon, this fully independent automaton was an original design of her creation. Its function being originally simply to transport water from the springs down to the desert town-stead, but reportedly had expanded its interested into to helping defend the town and keep the peace between the fey creatures and the townsfolk of Lagowick.
