Ruby Oxalis
Description:
Fruits of this herbal plant are ruby colored and look like drops of water. They have a chewy, gooey texture and a mildly sour taste. A very versatile ingredient in mixology. Legend: Struggling for their freedom, the Mauler people arrived in the Scorched Expanse. In the middle of a depleted desert short of food and water, they almost lost the will to survive. The tribe leader stepped forward and let his blood drip into the sand, from which the first ruby oxalis grew. The ruby-colored fruits resembled drops of blood, which rekindled Maulers' faith and determination, thus, this fruit is now revered as a symbol of their ancestors. (This tale, however, is most likely made up by Mauler descendants. The oasis in the Scorched Expanse was primarily a blessing from Dura.)
