Firefly Fruit
Description:
Originally a wild berry that grew in the Dark Forest, it has a crystalline appearance and a bitter taste, therefore it's seldom eaten by the Wilders. However, after being exported to the Lightbearer Empire as an ornamental crop, the foreign soil gave the fruit a distinctive flavor, making it one of the most common fruits on the nobility's dinner table.
Wilder merchants passing through Lightbearer lands were astonished by the taste of the firefly fruit there, and tried to sell it back to the Dark Forest residents. However, since the fruit itself is easily perishable, it can only be transported as juice. To ensure the Wilder folk would not resist the "firefly fruit juice", the merchants made up the meaningless name "Golden Platter", which proved incredibly popular with the Wilder folk.
