History
The smelting process for wick lanterns was originally developed by Aluana Shobi and has been a closely guarded secret by the town. The glass was shown at 9th annual Advancement Exposition in the fall of 1817.
Originally in the form of a oil lamp cover, Aluana showed the effectiveness of this invention and boasted the item required no enchantments or magic after manufacturing. So the user of the lantern was not required to be a spell caster to gain its benefits. Boldly claiming the magic in question was a natural occurrence. Though some argued against that claim, people could not refute the magics effectiveness. Over a hundred years later Wick Lanterns are still one of the most sought after items and most profitable pattens for Lagowick. With Griffith Glass-Smitheries being the only known manufacturer of the items. Though many have tried to imitate the renown items, no one had been successful in recreating the lanterns or their magical properties.
