Timeline of Nyappon History
PREHISTORY Prehistoric Hahoan mainlanders cross the sea to Nyappon and land in modern-day Minato city, where the first settlement is founded.
PREHISTORY The creation of Moon Worship, Tsuki no Oukoku, is believed to have occurred in this era.
PREHISTORY The ancient nomads migrated north.
The persecuted fled to the far north, modern-day Shiseishi canton.
The first Minatese pirates appear. They will terrorize the sea around Nyappon and West Haho for the next several millenia, bolstering their population with kidnapped women, foreign or Nyapponese.
MOKUREN-1 | 412 BC IC The first empress, Hina Mokuren I, is crowned.
Each region has developed into distinct separate cultures.
MOKUREN-32 | 381 BC IC The first sacking of Chushinbu city, there would be 47 more times by Honkyo and Minato in this era that Chushinbu is destroyed and rebuilt.
Villages in all provinces fared worse. The Chushinbu villages and north Honkyo villages near Shiseishi were especially worse off.
MOKUREN-252 | 171 BC IC The War for the Empress' Beauty ensues, possibly the strangest war of Nyappon's history.
Mokuren-1277 | 854 IC The War of the Sacred Palace ensures in Shiseishi. It becomes a folk legend as Shisei clans fight over the tallest peak in Nyappon.
MOKUREN-2159 | 1746 IC Unification of Nyappon by Ayame Mokuren.
Nyappon Republic established.
MOKUREN-2164 | 1751 IC Constitutional loopholes are exploited for the first time. It is never addressed and corrupt officials held seats for life.
MOKUREN-2340 | 1927 IC Industrialization of Honkyo. New factory production methods led to rapid growth of industry.
MOKUREN-2345 | 1932 IC Corporations infiltrate the government. A new class emerged, the Corporate Official, company managers that also held government seats.
MOKUREN-2363 | 1950 IC Standard of living backslide. Life became miserable for the average citizen and regressed 100 years.
MOKUREN-2383 | 1970 IC The Corporate Sector system is established. Nyappon is divided into 30 districts, each governed by a corporation who held a monopoly in their own turf.
MOKUREN-2398 | 1985 IC The urban relocation project begins. Rural folk are forced into cities and communities are split to facilitate easier government surveillance. 324,000 died in the crackdown during.
MOKUREN-2400 | 1987 IC The Famine of 2400 leads to 3,020,000 starving to death over 14 years, caused by the urban relocation project removing farmers from their lands.
The people refuse to endure this any longer.
AKIWA-0 | MOKUREN-2415 | 2002 IC Akiwa Mokuren leads the Thousand Lily Revolution to topple the Corporate Republic.
AKIWA-3 | 2005 IC The revolution succeeds. The Nyappon Imperial Federation and its legislative house are established. The constitution is rewritten.
AKIWA-14 | 2016 IC All of Nyappon's resources are tapped.
Nyappon declares the Eastern Expedition to gain colonies/resources in West Haho. The islands of Singha are targetted.
AKIWA-15 | 2017 IC Failed massed infantry assaults led to restructuring army doctrine. NCOs become the most vital element.
AKIWA-16 | 2018 IC First documented use of napalm reports favorably. Napalm becomes the primary weapon of Nyappon Aviation Forces.
AKIWA-20 | 2022 IC The Akiwa Empress is assassinated, and mobs took to the streets to massacre accused republic sympathizers. 603,495 were lynched, shot, or beheaded by mobs without trial. They were dubbed "anti-revolutionary."
This was the Decade of Blue Lilies.
AKIWA-21 | 2023 IC The unrest at home caused the Eastern Expedition to stall. The war ends with just a few islands taken. A Singha collaboration government is propped up.
AKIWA-29 = 2031 IC Shikami Mokuren ascends to the throne, having come of age. She was Moon Goddess's most fanatical follower. She had delusions and saw visions. Many believe she has a disease of the brain.
The First Hahoan Devastation ensues. A coalition of Nyappon, Liwayway, and Tsu fight against Guangzhouwan and her subjects.
AKIWA-35 | 2037 IC Guangzhouwan forces stage a landing in Minato. The battle of Minato-shi would ensure and lasts 1.5 years, destroying the city. 3 million in total find their grave in Minato city.
Nyappon aviation applies extensive use of Napalm on non-Nyapponese land, leading to untold civilian casualties and the highest MIA count of any war in Haho's history due to napalm's effect on bodies. The napalm campaign lasts for the entire war.
AKIWA-51 = 2053 IC Far less of West and Central Haho remained than before the war. West Haho had more landmines per square mile than people.
What remained of West Haho was established as Imperial Subjects of Nyappon. Corrupt governor-generals took charge of the puppets, but so long as tribute returned to Nyappon, nobody that mattered cared.
AKIWA-54 | 2056 IC PMC MIKO (Movement and Interception Kesshitai Operations) is founded. Nyappon's government had considerable influence in its creation.
AKIWA-56 | 2058 IC The Lunar Purification Operations begin. PMC MIKO infiltrates Tsu, and not long after many other Hahoan nations. Under pretext of liberating Nyapponese minorities, terrorists are armed and funded by MIKO. The Shiho A3 rifle permeated the continent.
AKIWA-57 | 2059 IC Market bombings, mass shootings, political assassinations, and destruction of villages were MIKO's modus operandi. MIKO receives global condemnation, and Honkyo falsely denies involvement.
AKIWA-70 | 2072 IC Low yield nuclear bombs are used to deny MIKO presence. The experience is returned to the Honkyo Military HQ, where the Sustained Atomic Mobile Army is concieved. The next war will be nuclear.
AKIWA-71 | 2073 IC The Second Hahoan Devastation ensues. After Nyappon conventional missiles strike nuclear-capable aircraft, Tsu strikes back with its own missiles and begins a ground attack. Nyappon nor Tsu gain a decisive push.
A false alarm by a Nyappon Radar site causes Shikami Mokuren to launch nukes at everyone. The world is sent to the stone age, Nyappon with it.
