Improved Critical Hits
When rolling a natural 20 on an attack roll it's a Critical Hit! In addition, you can roll 2d20 to see if it's INSTAKILL - you roll 2 additional natural 20s.
Critical Hit
- target creature is automatically hit
- Damage = rolled dice damage + max dice damage + modifiers
- Example:
3d6 + 2 >> 3d6 + 18 + 2
INSTAKILL
- you just rolled 3 natural 20s (1:8000)
- no need to roll for damage, the creature is DEAD ☠
- if this attack was made against your character, he is dead and its soul belongs to DM now - roll a new character (please refer to Character Creation)
Inspiration and Instakill
If a player character is about to be instakilled, players can use 5 Inspiration points to force a reroll of one of the d20. This Roll of Destiny is made by the player whose character is about to be killed.
