Lapindell
A little over a hundred years ago, Lapindell was a thriving town run by the Shobi family. However during the Dust Years, under – Shobi's leadership, the town began to fall into disarray as lack of water among other resources took a heavy toll on Lapindell. Eventually leading to – Shobi's failed attempt to reclaim Lagowick.
Lapindell now sits as a ghost town. Though officially still considered part of Lagowick, attempts to make use of the land have all spectacularly failed to date. With some even claiming that the Jackalopes laid curse and claim over the land.

Early History
The towns of Lagowick, Lapindell and Burrowbend were originally a singular territory. The land was purchased and owned by the Shobi family for many generations. When the Shobi family and their community first settled the land it came with some unforeseen trouble. After clearing the woodland in order to settle beneath the shadow of the mountains, it was discovered the land was plagued in some areas by high concentrations of fey creatures. Without anyway to deal with the creatures other then combat, the able-bodied of these settlers took up arms to protect each other. The Shobi's in particular, stood firm and defended their fellow-folk as they came from a deeply traditional orcish lineage.
Having firmly established these communities by the mid 1700s, the land had proved fruitful as both logging and mining communities. Eventually the two main areas were able to establish the towns of Lapindell and Burrowbend. Later the town of Lagowick was established but never saw the same growth or stability as its sister towns.
Having owned the lands and built the towns themselves, the Shobi family held control over the region. The family was so trusted for their strength by both their established town steads, that when the boarders for the state where finally recognized by the Aquila government a member of the Shobi family was voted to become governor. Who also went on to named the state Aislam, the orcish word for rabbit, in a reference to the states abundance of Jackalopes.
The Division of Lapindell
The town of Lagowick was inherited by Elaran, the son of a full-blooded orc. His father had two children—Aleran and his sister.
Before his death, their father declared that he would divide their ancestral mountain settlement, Lapindell, which their family had ruled for generations. True to orcish tradition, he decreed that the two would settle the division through a fistfight—the stronger sibling would claim the larger, wealthier half of the town.
The victor would inherit Burrowbend, a prosperous mining town rich in resources. Located far from the Feywood border, it remained largely untouched by the fey and thrived economically.
The other half, however, was far less desirable. It was an iron-rich wasteland of red sand, plagued by fey attacks due to its proximity to the Feywood and nearly impossible to farm. Living conditions were harsh, and survival was a constant struggle. This land was given the name Lagowick.
Elaran, gentle by nature—a trait frowned upon among orcs—was no match for his sister in combat, just as he had never been before. Defeated once again, he was left with the burden of leading Lagowick, the forsaken half of their father's land.
