You can create your own easy (lätt) content starting from texts in English or whatever your language is. This is very interesting because you can use texts about your interests in easy Swedish. Of course, the goal is to read books written in Swedish, but until you reach that point, you can adapt any interesting content to your level.
As an example, we’ll use this prompt for a student who wants to read texts beyond the beginner level but is still on the way to the intermediate level.

LAGOM: “JUST ENOUGH”
The Swedish word lagom has no equivalent in English but the concept is said to describe the basis of the Swedish national psyche. The closest translations are “just enough,” “in moderation,” or “sufficient.” Lagom does not suggest that something is lacking, but rather has the connotation of appropriateness. Lagom is manifest throughout Swedish society—for example in the welfare state, where everybody receives enough, but not more than they need. Socially, it can explain certain interactions—for example, the giving of presents ideally should not be over the top and showy, but instead lagom. In 2017, the concept became hyped in the UK and USA as a “Scandi-trend” and was described as a sustainable substitute for over-consumerism. Lagom is a tricky concept to grasp because it is subjective. Lagom for one person is not necessarily lagom for another. What lagom does, however, is transfer the focus from an individual to a group context. Decisions are made based on what is most appropriate for the situation and with a larger perspective than just the individual. The first written reference to the word lagom appeared in the 1600s but it is believed to have existed for centuries before.

År 2017 blev lagom populärt i Storbritannien och USA. Det sågs som ett sätt att leva mer hållbart – att inte köpa för mycket saker.
Men lagom kan vara svårt att förstå. Det som är lagom för en person kan vara för lite eller för mycket för en annan. Det är ett personligt ord.
Samtidigt handlar lagom också om gruppen. Man försöker tänka på vad som är bäst för alla – inte bara för sig själv. Beslut tas med hänsyn till andra människor och hela situationen.
Det första gången man skrev ordet lagom var på 1600-talet. Men man tror att svenskar har använt det mycket längre än så.
