How to Publish Your Obsidian Vault Quickly and Easily with Flowershow

Hi everyone! In this tutorial and video, we’ll show you how to publish your Obsidian Vault quickly and easily using Flowershow. We’ll go through four simple steps to get your notes online. Let’s get started!

STEP 0: What the Result Will Be

Before we start, below is my sample Obsidian Vault that I want to publish and the following image is what it will look like in a couple minutes once I've published it online with Flowershow.

STEP 1: Install the Flowershow Plugin

1. Open Obsidian.
2. Go to Settings > Community Plugins.
3. Search for "FlowerShow" and click Install.
4. Enable the plugin once installed.

STEP 2: Sign Up for FlowerShow (Cloud)

1. Click the sign-up link in the plugin or visit Flowershow.
2. Log in using your GitHub account.
3. If you don’t have a GitHub account, create one – it takes just a few seconds.

STEP 3: Create a GitHub Repository for Syncing

1. Create a Github repository. This will act as a backup and sync point between Obsidian and Flowershow.
2. Use our template repository – click "Use this template" button to create a new repository (can be private if you want).

STEP 4: Connect Flowershow to Your GitHub Repository

1. Go back to the Flowershow Cloud dashboard
2. Choose the Publish your Obsidian Vault option (or click go directly to new site creation here)
3. Select the GitHub repository you just created.
4. Click Create Website — your Flowershow will set up your site in seconds!

STEP 5: Sync Your Obsidian Vault & Publish

1. Go back to Obsidian and go to the Flowershow plugin settings.
2. Enter the details of your GitHub repository.
3. Go to the Flowershow button in the sidebar and select the notes to publish — and that’s it!
